The Mark Of The Beast: Idolotry In Thought And Action

Maybe the beast is the devil and his ways. Perhaps the mark on the forehead symbolizes believing in the ways or teachings of the beast and the mark on the right hand symbolizes doing his will. If then the beast is epitomized by an idol, whatever that idol may be, we can give example and see how individuals by their false beliefs and practices receive to themselves the mark of the said beast. Consider the idol of Christmas. For this is a beast and those who receive the marks of it bear them by their thoughts and actions. For those of us who know the reasons why Christmas is celebrated we also know the reasons it is to be shunned. It is only by ignorance that Bible believing Christians can celebrate Christmas, and even that may be too gracious a statement. If we are to examine ourselves as the Holy scripture demands we shall certainly question why it is that we do the things we do. When we examine our lives in light of this question we shall eventually ask; "Why do we celebrate Christmas" and "Why does it even have that name?" We shall see that the mixing of pagan traditions into God's commands is forbidden in the scriptures and we shall find that people celebrate Christmas because it is a web of lies that many believe and practice simply because everyone else does. As we search we shall find that the scriptures tell us nothing of such a celebration, nor do they tell in any way shape or form to remember Christ's birth above the other events. We will find that we are to remember his death, but are we wise to make a festival that we claim is to honor his birth? If we look at the very name, "Christmas" we can see how it came about from its original name "Mass of Christ." This term makes it clearer of its roots in Roman Catholicism. Where did they get this idea of Christmas from? The Babylonian pagan traditions of course. Some foolishly say that that cannot be true, but to deny that is to deny documented history. Clearly the source of these traditions is not biblical, and so it is from the imagination of man and the devil. Christmas is to Christianity what butter is to bread in the eyes of the unlearned. When they hear that some Christians (the bible believing one's) don't celebrate Christmas they often misunderstand because they are so accustomed to butter on their bread that they don't recognize bread without it. Those who have received the knowledge of the truth dare not give up the bread just so they can have the butter. But this is what many have done and are doing. Perhaps God may have mercy on their souls.

In The Book Of Life: Of The Bride Of Christ

“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” - Revelation 3:5

What is the Book of Life?

In Revelation 13:8 we see that those whose names are not written in the Book of Life shall worship the beast. We also see the fuller name or a description of the Book of Life; “…the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

In Revelation 17:8 we see that those whose names are not written in the Book of Life shall wonder when they behold the beast. We also see the Book of Life described as “the book of life from the foundation of the world”

In Revelation 20:15 we see that “…whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

In Revelation 21:27 we see that “…they which are written in the Lamb's book of life” shall enter the Holy and New Jerusalem (which is the Lamb’s wife and bride, the true Church, the true Israel). (See Revelation 21:1-2, Revelation 21:9-10, Colossians 1:24, Ephesians 5:23-32, 2 Corinthians 11:2, Revelation 19:7-9, Matthew 9:15, Romans 2:28-29, Romans 9:3-33)

We see in Revelation 22:19 that “…if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city…”

Now this Book of Life is not just mentioned in the New Testament.

In Exodus 32:31-33 we see Moses pleading to God to forgive the people of their great sin. Moses says unto God “Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.”

In Daniel 12:1 we read that “there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” The Book of Life may also be alluded to in Psalm 139:16.

Let us rejoice that we have life through Christ!

“Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.” - Romans 5:9-11

“The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” - Zephaniah 3:17

Do Not Be Deceived. Beware the antichrist(s) !

"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." - Matthew 24:3-5

"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. "In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name." - John 20:24-31

"And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time." 1 Corinthians 15:4-8

Heaven Bound Saint

Do Not Become Weary of Well Doing...

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." -Galatians 6:7-10

"For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us. For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. Repent and Be Saved

Are you a Hell bound sinner? Repent and be saved. --- Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. - Mark 1:14b-15

It's Not Too Late...

"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." -Luke 13:5

But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?" -Heb. 3:15-17

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." -John 3:16-21

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
